Meet the Team

Amanda Gilmour, DVM

Veterinarian, Owner

Dr. Amanda Gilmour graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. During veterinary school, she also earned a certificate in shelter medicine under the mentorship of renowned shelter veterinarian and researcher Dr. Cynda Crawford. This specialized training gave Dr. Amanda valuable insight into animal shelter and rescue systems and allows her to better understand and address the unique medical and behavioral needs that adopted pets sometimes face.

Committed to providing the best possible care, Dr. Amanda completes an average of 15 hours of continuing education each year to stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and techniques.

After several years working as an associate veterinarian, Dr. Amanda decided to pursue her vision of a more personalized approach to veterinary care. In the fall of 2017, she founded Elite Veterinary Home Care, a mobile veterinary practice designed to deliver high-quality medical care in the comfort of a pet’s home while giving clients and patients the individualized attention they deserve.

Over the course of her career, Dr. Amanda has developed special interests in dermatology, behavior, and internal medicine. She also places a strong emphasis on clear communication, ensuring that pet owners feel informed, supported, and confident as they make decisions about their pets’ health.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Amanda’s love of animals extends to her own unique crew at home—including a one-eyed tortoise and a three-legged dog. She has even performed surgery on fish; her dedication to animal care truly spans across species.

Amber Bradley

Veterinary Assistant

Amber Bradley has been working in veterinary medicine since 2015, beginning her career in the equine field before transitioning to small animal care. Her diverse experience and calm, compassionate approach help ensure that every patient receives attentive, thoughtful care.

Originally born and raised in Florida, Amber’s career has taken her to several unique and exciting opportunities. Over the years, she has gained valuable hands-on experience working with a variety of exotic species, including red wolves, cheetahs, and ring-tailed lemurs. These experiences broadened her knowledge of animal behavior and handling across many different species.

Amber holds a special place in the history of Elite Veterinary Home Care. She was the original veterinary assistant when the practice first opened in 2017 and was pivotal in the growth of the practice in its early years. After working with Dr. Amanda for several years, Amber moved out of state, but she soon realized how much she missed both Florida and the relationships she had built with clients and patients here. She is excited to have returned and re-assumed her role with the practice.

Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, hiking, visiting the beach, and practicing photography. She has also played piano since the age of 10. At home, she shares her life with two cats, Ari and Momo, and her dog Kuma, a certified therapy dog who reflects Amber’s deep appreciation for the powerful bond between people and animals.
